A little bit about me and why I started “Doing Diabetes Different”.
My kids were both diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 7 back in 2018 and 2019. Devastating at first and our family had a lot of emotional struggles and grief in the beginning. I often felt very alone and lacked a support system of others that “understood”.
My new business is called “Doing Diabetes Different”. The name came to me at a time when I was burnt out, stressed out and really struggling in many regards. My motto when something is not working is to “Do Something Different”. Happy to say we have overcome many challenges and are stronger now than we were. My kids are currently 12 and 13. Both are on Dexcom and currently using Tslim pumps.
I am proud to have supported other parents over the years and hope to be a support to others in the future.

I am excited to have created a group for moms called “The T1D Mom Makeover. See The T1D Mom Makeover tab for more details.
It is for moms who:
1. You struggle to reach recommended targets for time in range.
2. You struggle with stress/overwhelm/burnout in diabetes management or just in general.
3. Your own health has been on the back burner since you became a T1D mom.
4. You want to try something different and be in community/make friends with other T1D moms
