I help T1D moms go from overwhelmed and alone to organized, supported, and confident in managing their child’s diabetes.

Hello I’m Lana!

Founder of Doing Diabetes Different.

I help moms of kids with type 1 diabetes go from overwhelmed and scattered to organized, confident, and supported so managing diabetes feels clearer, calmer, and a lot less lonely.

As a mom living this life myself, I know how heavy it can feel tracking numbers, second guessing decisions, and trying to keep everything straight while still showing up for your family.

That’s why I created the Diabetes Command Center: a simple way to organize your data, diabetes documents, carb counts and decisions all in one place.

As well as my new passion for diabetes organization I love to build connections.  Both in person in Red Deer, retreats for T1D moms and virtually on zoom.

Because diabetes shouldn’t be something you have to figure out on your own. I’m passionate about bringing moms together who truly get  it so you feel supported, understood, and never alone in this.

I am a nurse and have 2 kids with type 1 diabetes, so I fully understand the the ups and downs of diabetes. My kids were both diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 7 back in 2018 and 2019. Devastating at first and our family had a lot of emotional struggles and grief in the beginning.  I often felt very alone and lacked a support system of others that “understood”.

If you’re ready for diabetes management that feels simpler, more organized, and supported you’re in the right place.

Let’s make diabetes feel easier, together.
